Indigenous Disability Services

Supporting Disabilities Australia (SDA) provide culturally appropriate home and community services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We understand that people with disabilities face unique challenges, and we are committed to providing the best support possible to ensure that they can live their lives to the fullest.

We recognise that every person has their own unique needs

Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. We match our team members to each individual’s needs to provide the right level of support for each person. Our services include accommodation, support coordination, plan management, NDIS review and meetings, respite and emergency housing, domestic assistance, personal care, and post-hospital support.

At Supporting Disabilities Australia, we recognize that every person has their unique needs and preferences. That’s why our services are customized to meet the specific requirements of each person we work with. We also believe that cultural sensitivity is critical in providing quality support services to Indigenous Australians, and our team has extensive training in this area. We are committed to providing culturally appropriate services that respect the beliefs and traditions of Indigenous Australians.

We understand that the NDIS can be confusing and overwhelming, particularly for those who are new to the scheme. That’s why we offer NDIS support services, including plan management and support coordination. Our team can help you navigate the NDIS, access the services you need, and manage your plan to ensure that you get the most out of it.

Our respite and emergency housing services provide temporary accommodation for people with disabilities who need a break from their usual living arrangements or who require emergency housing due to unforeseen circumstances. Our domestic assistance and personal care services provide support with daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and personal hygiene, enabling people to live independently in their own homes.

Finally, our post-hospital support services are designed to help people transition from hospital back into their homes. We provide practical support with tasks such as medication management, wound care, and physiotherapy, helping people to recover and regain their independence as quickly as possible.

At Supporting Disabilities Australia’s Indigenous disability services, we are committed to providing the best possible support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disabilities. Our team is dedicated, experienced, and culturally sensitive, and we are proud to serve Indigenous communities across Sydney, Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Canberra, and regional areas.
